Blackrock Camp – Fiji
Overview
As part of the Australian Government’s Pacific Step-up, the Department of Defence partnered with Fiji to redevelop the Blackrock Peacekeeping and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Camp (Blackrock Camp) for the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.
CC Pines was awarded the project in August 2019, construction began in September 2019 and continued within Fiji’s restrictions throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
The works included construction of a headquarters building; front entrance and guard house; logistics precinct (including humanitarian assistance and disaster relief warehouse); and lecture/classroom facilities; medical facility; living-in accommodation; sports field; physical training facilities; and parade ground.
A key objective of construction at Blackrock Camp was to maximise Fijian industry and commercial involvement to benefit the local economy.

Kind Words
“I would like to thank you and you Team for the great work that's been done in maintaining the facility throughout the DLP period. If given the opportunity, would recommend CC Pines to maintain the maintenance of the facility as we have created a workable solution when coming to defects and rectifying them in the quickest and sufficient time frame, we are still in the early stages of formulating an SOP with your team and with you still here this has been a great help to me and my team.
I hope and pray that we will be working together and improving these things, that would allow this facility to be self-sufficient reliable in the years to come.”

“I just want to express my sincere appreciation for accepting me to your team of WHS&E. I thoroughly enjoyed my journey with your team and the whole company. You gave me more than I expected and the fruits I've reaped from here has boasted my reference and reputation. Now I have been offered a job with a substantial package that will help me with our mortgage and be a good provider at home.
Thank you again Kim for extending your hand out to me and many here in Fiji. May God bless you and keep you, and may his favour remain upon you and your family. So long partner, you will remain in my heart for a long time.”
